Volodymyr’s story is one of resilience, faith, and service. After spending his childhood in a boarding school in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, he gave his life to Christ at a young age. Years later, he served displaced families and wounded soldiers through Family of Christ Foundation in Uzhhorod. In 2024, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in active combat.
As of September 2025, he is considered missing in action. His community continues to pray for his safety and return.
Volodymyr’s childhood in a Ukrainian boarding school shaped his resilience and sense of responsibility.
In 2008, at 10 years old, he and his three brothers were placed in a boarding school in Zaporizhzhia. Life was difficult, yet those years formed his character. He learned perseverance and developed the strength to endure hardship.
Volodymyr’s Christian faith became the foundation for his service, education, and personal responsibility.
In 2009, a believing family welcomed him into their home, giving him stability and trust. In 2010, he chose to repent and be baptized during a Christian seminar. This decision redirected his life and gave him purpose.
He later completed metallurgy college in 2022 despite wartime instability, continuing to live out his faith through action.
Volodymyr served displaced families, hospitals, and soldiers through hands on humanitarian work with Family of Christ International in Uzhhorod.
After relocating in late 2022 due to increasing attacks in Zaporizhzhia, he joined the foundation’s warehouse team. His responsibilities included:
Preparing humanitarian aid documentation
Sorting and organizing donations
Loading and unloading supply trucks
Assembling social aid packages
Supporting logistics and distribution
He also visited wounded soldiers and children in orphanages. He served faithfully for two years.
Volodymyr served in the 5th Assault Brigade and later the 31st Brigade within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mobilized at the end of 2024, he completed training and was assigned to the Donetsk direction. Later, he continued combat service after being transferred to the 31st Brigade.
During this time, Family of Christ International continued supporting him with essential protective equipment and supplies.
Volodymyr has been missing since September 2025 following his military service in eastern Ukraine.
He is currently considered missing. His community, church, and the Family of Christ International team continue praying for his protection and safe return.
