Ukraine's Boys U17 soccer team wins U19 Championship in The USA Cup Weekend Tournament

BLAINE, MN – July 16, 2023 -- Ukraine's FC Minaj Boys U17 soccer team captured the USA Cup Weekend Tournament championship title in the Boys U19 Red Division with a 4-1 victory over the Wisconsin Rapids Kickers this evening, ending the tournament with a perfect undefeated record.

Gathering at the Celebration Zone, Head Coach Rudolf (Rudy Balazhinec said, “We dedicate this victory to our Ukraine and our military heroes. Our players are 17 years old and younger, but they are champions of U19 tournament. So proud of them!”

The team will use this victory as a catalyst to propel them toward their competition in the USA Cup Weeklong competition, which begins for the Ukrainians on Tuesday, July 18 at 8:45 am on Field 29 at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
